Dry acorns after you gather them. It’s best if you dry them on the sun as Indians did. In this case, arrange them on a tray and put them on the sun for a few days.
Store them inside the house or apartment at night. Dry them until they all have brown color otherwise, they will quickly get moldy.
Drying in the oven
You can also dry acorns in the oven. Heat the oven at 70 degrees Celsius and dry them for about twenty minutes. You can also dry them on a tray in the apartment, but in this case, you should do it at least for a month. Just be careful to place them somewhere dry, because otherwise they will quickly develop mold and multiply microorganisms, which will destroy the acorns.
Store the acorns
When they are completely dry, store them in plastic containers or bags in a cool dry place and use them within three months. In some cases, they last half of a year, but younger acorns are better.
